Who Are ALISE Institutional Member Schools?

Interested in learning which schools value an ALISE membership? View the Institutional Member School Directory for a full listing.

To view a list of ALA-accredited programs, visit the Directory of ALA-Accredited and Candidate Programs in Library and Information Studies.

Institutional Membership allows up to three contacts to be included in the membership database. Note that it is not unusual for one person to fill multiple roles depending on the size and needs of the school, but there should not be more than one person in each of these roles.

  • Dean/Director: the school’s representative to the ALISE Council of Deans and Directors
  • Administrative Contact: an administrative person who is responsible for maintaining the membership, processing renewals, and updating the member database.
  • School Representative: Usually the most active of the three contacts, attending the School Representatives’ Breakfast at the ALISE annual conference, and otherwise staying apprised of ALISE activities.
