Doctoral Students to ALISE grant: The ALISE Board of Directors seeks nominations from institutional members for the Doctoral Students to ALISE Grant. The grant supports the attendance of one or more promising LIS doctoral students at the ALISE Annual Conference.  Deadline for applications is September 19th.  For more information and an application, please see ALISE.org

ALISE News:  The newest edition of the ALISE newsletter, ALISE NEWS, is out.  To read about our members and our association, please check out the NEWS online.

ALISE Volunteers:  It is time to sign up to be a member of a 2010 ALISE Committee.  Applications are due by November 9th.  The volunteer application can be found on ALISE.org - look for the Volunteer link on the front page.

Annual Conference Poster Sessions: The call for Doctoral Student Posters and Work-In-Progress (WIP) posters sessions are out.  Doctoral posters are due October 2.  WIP posters are due October 1.  For more details, see the conference website

Conference Registration:  Planning on joining ALISE in January in Boston?  Registration opens October 1.  For more details, please see the registration page.

There is so much going on at Headquarters that I felt it was appropriate for another ALISE Update in September.  Sorry for the extra email this month, hopefully you will think that it is worth it.

2010 Annual Conference Schedule:  The schedule for the Boston conference is up on the website.  The planning committee has done an excellent job planning out our time with juried papers, poster sessions, panel presentations, and more.  Check out ALISE.org for the 2010 Annual Conference Schedule

2009 LIS Program and Faculty Directory: Headquarters is collecting faculty information from all 2009 ALISE Institutional members.  This information is used to create the ALISE 2009 Directory of Library and Information Science Programs and Faculty in the United States and Canada.  We are still missing submissions from many schools.  If your school has not submitted its information yet, or if you want to make sure your submission was received, please contact Tomi Gunn at [email protected].

2006 ALISE Statistical Report is complete:
The 2006 ALISE Statistical Report has been mailed to all 2009 ALISE Institutional Members.  The web version is coming soon to ALISE.org
