ng libraries, LIS educators, and local communities. Joseph Winberry, Noah L
enstra, Michele Villagran and Ana Ndumu will discuss lessons learned and ch
allenges confronted while partnering with and empowering local communities.
Prospective grantees will also learn tips for organizing, proposing, and m
anaging Community conn@CT Mini-Grant projects.

Presenter Bios: < /p>
Joseph Winberry is a Ph.D. student at the University of Tennes see’s College of Communication and Information. His research in community i nformatics, information practices, and social justice explores how people u se information and technology to produce social change. Winberry’s scholars hip has been published in The International Journal of Information, Div ersity, and Inclusion, The Journal of Librarianship and Information Science , and The Library Quarterly (forthcoming), among other venues . | Dr. Noah Le nstra, MLIS, is an assistant professor of li brary and information science at the University of North Carolina at Greens boro. In June 2020, his book Healthy Living at the Library was pub lished by Libraries Unlimited. He serves on the Partnerships Committee of t he Association for Rural and Small Libraries. He is the Primary Investigato r on the IMLS (RE-246336-OLS-20) project HEAL (Healthy Eating and Active Li ving) at the Library via Co-Developed Programming. |
