Job description (250 word limit):
The Department seeks a person who will play a strong role in the development of the curriculum in digital content management. The successful candidate will conduct research within the broad area of digital content management. The candidate must be comfortable with collaboration in research and teaching with other faculty members. She/he must be able to teach graduate courses in both residential and distributed learning environments and will be expected to take an active role in the doctoral program. All faculty members are expected to provide appropriate level of services to the department, the college, the university, and the profession.
Minimum requirements for appointment include an earned doctorate in Information Science or a related field by the time of appointment, and a record of research and publication within the broad area of digital content management. Related or additional expertise in one or more of the following areas is preferred: human computer interaction, information visualization, data curation, information retrieval, knowledge management in digital environments, information policy and ethics data mining, research methods, and information systems and services evaluation.
