Job description
The Educational Technology program in the Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions at Fairfield University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position (open rank) with a specialization in school library media.
Responsibilities will include
- Teaching in the Educational Technology program
- Advising and supervising School Media Specialist students
- Providing leadership and revising the School Media Specialist program of study, certification courses and field work as necessary, in accordance with state
Requirements
- Pursuing research related to School Media/Educational Technology
- Collaborating with faculty in various program areas
- Collecting & reviewing program data to address NCATE accreditation
Required qualifications
- Doctorate in Library/Information Science or a closely related field
- Professional experience in a school media setting
- Experience in collaborating on technology integration with K-12 teachers and administrators
- Ability to supervise student teaching and internships
- Evidence of commitment and service to multicultural and diverse populations
- Demonstrated teaching ability
- Relevant research agenda
