The Centennial Anniversary!
How can we make a difference?
Join us in Chicago at the Centennial Celebration of the Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE) 2015 to explore the implications of social justice in LIS education.
What are the effects and outcomes of what we in Library and Information Science (LIS) do in terms of social justice and promoting change in the lives of people on the margins? We need to extend traditional understandings in areas such as culturally appropriate technologies, human information needs, information literacy, among others, in order to address issues of empowering people to better their own life conditions, realities, and experiences.
