  • ALISE/IFLA/EUCLID Satellite Conference:  Registration for “Cooperation and Collaboration in Teaching and Research: Trends in Library and Information Studies Education” closes tomorrow, Friday, July 23 at midnight CT.  To register go to 


  • ALISE/MLA Dutch-Treat Dinner:  ALISE will once again host its annual Dutch-treat dinner at IFLA on Tuesday, August 10th at 8:00 p.m. All ALISE and MLA members are invited to attend.   • ALISE Ribbons:  We will have ALISE Member Ribbon in Sweden.  Add it to your name tag and wear it with pride.  ALISE is all about its members.  So we hope you will join us in wearing your ribbons and letting others know just how great ALISE is!  To get a ribbon, please attend the Dutch-treat dinner.  If you can’t make the dinner, let Kathleen know and we will work out a way to get you one.



2011 ALISE Annual Conference – San Diego

  • Juried Program Proposals – Deadline Extended:  For Juried Programs only (not Juried Papers), the deadline for submission of program proposals has been extended to July 30, 2010.  SIG Panels, Workshops and Programs, Innovative Forms of Programming, and Roundtable Discussion are all included in this proposal process.

Deadline for Proposals:  July 30, 2010
Notification of Acceptance: September 15, 2010

  • Keynote Speaker: Jorge Reina Schement, Dean of the School of Communication & Information, at Rutgers University, will be the 2011 keynote speaker for the 2011 ALISE Annual Conference.  To learn more about Jorge, please see
